sometimes i think you’re the biggest idiot on earth. laugh at myself for loving you. but other times i think you’re the symbol of the sun. cry for myself for loving you.

the point is that this poem doesn’t make sense. if it does hit home, then you understand. laughing, smiling, crying, frowning tumbling, mumbling, stumbling, fumbling joy to fear to panic to love to happiness to thankfulness to peace to anger to sadness to indifference to freedom to slavery steady, tripping, falling, getting up. sickness to pain to throwing up to desire to confusion to not giving up. stomach churning, heart yearning, peace settling. the mind is thinking. the mind is not working. the mind is listening to the soul and heart. the soul is restless. the soul is searching. the soul is scavenging and scouring for existence. the heart is healing. the heart is aching. the heart is wanting. the soul is exhausted after going through this a million times per day. the heart follows suit two times this per day. this is normal. be at peace with this whirlwind. peace to great pain to joy to thankfulness. the mind, the heart, the soul.

One day my heart gets ripped right out of me. The next day, I’m looking down the barrel of a gun. One day I let a spear run right through me And the next day I’m back to that barrel of a gun. All pushing me to the ground. All taking their turns. How much longer can i do this? Get up, heal, and patch up the wounds, scoop up what’s left of me, and stumble back up the daunting mountain? I had been doing so well. I must conquer that mountain again. And I will smile. I will laugh, and I can be happy. I just have to fight through what comes at me from below. One day my heart gets ripped right out of me. The next day, I’m looking down the barrel of a gun. One day I let a spear run right through me And the next day I’m back to that barrel of a gun. All pushing me to the ground. All taking their turns.
